Janisse v Mercer

The Desert Nomads Golf Club is proud to announce the details of the Slyder Cup, the club's main annual event. The Slyder Cup Invitational, a team event in the Ryder Cup format, will again be held in mile high Prescott, Arizona. Captains Dale Janisse and Doug Mercer will lead their squads against each other in Slyder Cup Nine to be held July 22nd through the 26th. These particular Captains are looking to bring some unique flavor to the Slyder in contribution to continued legacy of the Slyder Cup.

The tentative schedule of events is as follows:

June 7 Sun - Deadline for setting field
June 15 Mon - Freezing of Handicaps
June 22 Mon (subject to change) online draft
July 22 Wed 7:00PM Kickoff Dinner & First Round Pairing Announcements (Cafe Carumba)

July 24 Fri 1:00PM Splash for Cash $100+ (Prescott Lakes driving range)

July 25 Sat 11:45PM-12:45 Lunch (Stoneridge Clubhouse)

The cost for this event is $400. A $200 deposit is due by July 3rd. The balance is due July 22nd. The inclusive cost takes care of:

Dinner and cocktails at the Kickoff Dinner,
All four rounds of golf including green fees, cart fees, taxes and range balls,
First round of "Splash for Cash" and Supershot entry
Lunch between Saturday rounds
Dinner and cocktails at the Champions' Dinner, and
Competition, camaraderie and lifetime memories in beautiful weather (Intellicast Forecast for Prescott).

Accomodations at the Marriott SpringHill Suites have been arranged at $119/night (plus tax) which includes breakfast. Roommates are to handle split cost amongst themselves.

As in past years becoming more popular with each year, an optional practice day is available. For approximately $100, you can add a practice round on Thursday and another night's stay. Practice round tentatively set for Stoneridge.

This event is by invitation only with responsible participants having first right on next year's event.
